Dental Assistant: Full-Time
Description
Under the direction of the Dental Director, the Dental Assistant must be able to prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in performing treatment to patients in restorative dentistry or oral surgery, prepare materials and equipment for treatment and have them ready for the dentist’s use, take x-rays and assist the dentist in laboratory work. May perform other related work to include, but not limited to, scheduling appointments, answering the phone, ordering supplies and doing the dental billing. Also, maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures.
Requirements
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent and proof of being a Certified Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) from an accredited national certification agency with ID card and certification number; must have licensure from the State of New Jersey to perform Dental Radiography procedures and CPR certification. Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience in related field. Bilingual English/Spanish or another language preferred. Working some Saturdays required.
